The Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals (IMN), located in Gliwice, Poland, serves as the primary scientific and technological anchor for the EDventure project. As the Lead Research Partner, the institute leverages decades of empirical knowledge, specialized laboratories, and cutting-edge industrial methodologies in the fields of metallurgy, hydrometallurgy, and raw materials separation. Their specific focus on advanced electrodialysis processes provides the project with the technical foundations required to model complex chemical and physical interactions accurately.

Within the scope of EDventure, Łukasiewicz – IMN is responsible for translating intricate chemical phenomena and industrial-scale metallurgical processes into precise mathematical and logical datasets. This scientific framework functions as the analytical core of the entire virtual reality simulation platform. Every interactive module, process flow diagram, and chemical separation simulation encountered by users in the virtual environment is built directly upon empirical data verified by the institute's research teams.

By combining industrial science with immersive virtual reality, this partnership eliminates the traditional gap between theoretical metallurgical education and practical plant operation. The rigorous validation protocols applied by Łukasiewicz – IMN ensure that students, engineers, and operators receive high-fidelity, risk-free training that accurately replicates real-world industrial behaviors, efficiency metrics, and safety hazards encountered during non-ferrous metal recovery processes.
